For examples: integration with the electronic industry leads to development of electronic gases or specialty gases in those supporting fields such as integrated circuits and flat-panel displays, integration with the petrochemical industry results in construction of gasification plants integrating power generation, heating and hydrogen production, and the fusion with steam in the electric power industry gives rise to development of the steam turbine air separation plants.
Gases industry shall try to achieve the full-industry system intelligent development of research, design, logistics, purchasing, production control, management and marketing, with eatablishing the public platform construction, introducing the intellifent factory, and popularizing the information and technology. And vigorously promote intelligent transformation of companies.
During the 13th Five-Year Plan, the gases industry shall perform the green and sustainable development strategy, which includes promotion of the safe and clean production and circular economy, quickening the research and development of CO2 application technologies, and recovery and comprehensive utilization of industrial emissions gases, establishment and perfection of gases application technology research and development centers, intensifying exchanges and cooperation with foreign trade organizations, institutions, and improvement of gases application technologies, and expanding gases application field, and promotion of the sustainable and healthy development of the gases industry.
2 Joint Reorganization of Companies, Perfection of Energy Consumption Indexes and Improvement of the Industry Competitiveness
In order to improve the development capacities and market competitiveness, China gases companies shall deepen the structural reform of supply-front and walk on the road for joint reorganization, enlarging and strengthening and common development, promote the industrial transformation, and establish a number of large leading companies and conglomerates, enhance the industrial concentration.

During the 13th Five-Year Plan, China gases companies need to closely follow the polices of national energy and development of circular economy, support and develop research, scale operation of the hydrogen economy. They shall encourage and support the use of LNG cooling energy, especially application of LNG cooling energy into large air separation plants, for reduction of energy consumption. So the industry development level and international competitiveness may be improved.
3 The Industry Safe and Sustainable Production: Development of Clean Energy and Focusing on the Industry Safety
Safety management and operation of the gases industry shall cover not only a perfect system but also a sound mechanism. The gases industry shall establish the mechanism of “Social Responsibility Report” and promote companies to issue it, and create conditions for the sustainable development of companies. Moreover, create and maintain a more stable and lasting trade partnership for those companies to realize the benefits of enterprise economic and social.
According to the layouts of the state petrochemical industry and chemical parks, perform the safe, environmentally friendly and accumulative development of the gases industry. The gases industry shall promote the applications of natural gas vehicles and ships, and develop the natural gas distributed energy, to increase the consumption ratio of natural gas in the primary energy to about 9%.

And the dialogue and consultation mechanism shall be established in cooperation with relevant government departments and industries, create a sound foreign trade environment.
