China Safety Forum for Gases on ASU

For further improvement of the safety operation level of China ASU and promotion of its healthy and safe development, and by combining the national safety month, related activities were organized. “China Safety Forum for Gases on ASU” jointly sponsored by China Induatrial Gases Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as CIGIA) , China General Machinery Gases Separation Plant Industry Association and China representative office of Asia Industrial Gases Association was held in Beijing on June 22~24, in which there were about 60 attendants (including national senior experts and scholars in various industries as well as project design, safety construction, equipment manufacturing, operation and other representatives from related companies such as air separation plant companies) and CIGIA’s “13th Five-Year Plan” development guides were issued. Moreover, those senior experts and scholars carried out further communication and discussion about those industry concerned issues, such as technical development current situations of major ASU, applications and development of LNG cold energy ASU, key equipment technical development current situations of major ASU, design and safety new concepts of ASU, construction and safety new concepts of ASU, safe operation of major ASU, air separation RBI (risk based inspection), major risk analysis of cryogenic liquid tanks and setting cofferdams or not, analysis and treatment of erection and construction issues for major ASU, operation faults and troubleshooting of major ASU, analysis of typical explosion accidents of major ASU in recent years, and energy consumption calculation and carbon emissions of air separation products; and the scene investigation was carried out to operation of major air separation and LNG cold energy ASU in Tangshan Caofeidian.
